That would be a great deal for you guys. DM is one the of worst GM's in the league when it comes to trades AND he's under the gun.

Question do you think the mets would be willing to take on salary in order to make the trade happen? Would you be willing to take frenchy?

DM will likely have to clear salary even to add Dickey's 5 million and will need to clear space for an extension.

If the Mets were to find an acceptable trading partner, McKinnis said Dickey would be open to signing an extension as part of the trade with a new club. That could increase the haul the Mets could return in a swap.

I would take back Francoeur if the Royals were willing to include Ventura as well. Frenchy wouldnt be a terrible bat off the bench, but thats about it

Could be a huge development. If he were willing to extend immediately with KC, Myers and Odorizzi may not be a stretch

From a cursory glance at the Royals prospect list, I'd take Myers, Mondesi, and John Lamb and call that a deal.

Stud #1 spec, 17 year old SS with pedigree, and a post-TJ southpaw that could feasibly become a 3rd starter.

    I wish...

Myers and Joseph is far more attainable. Joseph could be part of our bullpen this year.

ZERO percent chance you get Myers and Starling. If SA pulls that off id buy him the most expensive BJ i could find

Id rather have Lamb over Joseph. And Ventura over both

Fangraphs has Starling as their 5th rated prospect, he's only been in the Appy league and if KC is going for it, they aren't trading Ventura, Odorizzi or anyone who can help immediately. The Central is still up for grabs. Starling is 4 years a way and can still bust. Hell Mike Newman thinks he will.

Even if we got just Myers for Dickey, I'd be doing back flips. That alone would be a huge win in my opinion

Where did it say that the Mets turned down Myers for Dickey straight up?
