That might be the way to go at this point because the options are lessening.

People are crazy if they think the Angels are going to trade Mike Trout. He's not going anywhere. It'll probably based around Bourjos, which I hate. I don't think he's the guy for us, neither is Trumbo. But wow, I'd bust a nut if we somehow pulled off a Mike Trout trade, it just won't happen though.

DB no longer needs a SS after picking up Gregorious. The Rangers appear to be S.O.L.

The thing is I doubt the Rangers trade Martin now that Hamilton is gone.

I think they would have been more inclined to make a Dickey trade if they resigned Hamilton...because it would probably make OFers like Olt and Martin more expendable.

But they could now have the need to keep Olt and or Martin? Maybe leaving them fewer top prospects to trade.

As much as I want this to happen, it most likely wont.

The Rangers screwed up. They should have traded Andrus for Upton, before ARI got another young SS, then they could have traded Olt plus for Dickey. Now if they wanna replace Hamilton with Upton, they will no longer have the pieces to get Dickey which would help a lot in stopping that Angels offense.

This signing puts us in a fantastic position.

Texas is desperate and now LA can focus on their pitching needs. We're getting somewhere if we do trade Dickey. Trumbo would just be a pipe dream though.

Maybe we can get Bourjos without dealing Dickey

Trumbo would be amazing. That is a deal I would do straight up.

If Texas makes the offer and Sandy says no, the Wilpons should tell him buh buh buh bye buh buh buh buh bye

His voice lacks the range of tonal color necessary to make it consistently interesting. Full time consideration of another endeavor might be in order."

Sources say Trumbo wont be part of deal as other teams have asked about him and the Angels said no.

But they have money to spend with their new tv deal, and Dickey is cheap in relation to how well he has pitched. They might like the idea of Dickey replacing Greinke so much they might use Trumbi as the way to acquire RA.

The Mets need to use that desperation to get as much from the Angrls as possible.

Same if that situation arises with Texas because they lost out on Hamilton and now need a big acquisition to get back in that race.
