Well this is bad in that we can't get Wil Myers now...but it should make Texas even MORE desperate to acquire Dickey with Shields off the table...I expect we get a very nice package with Olt the center piece.

No, they were willing to move Myers, just not for Dickey and as reported they were interested in Niese, but Niese is not on the same level as Shields. Though they do will give up more than just Myers for those 2.

Honestly I'd want more than Olt in a deal for Dickey

I don't really know much about him but he's 24 and spent a majority of his time in AA last season. While I like the pop, I just don't know how well he can play the outfield

What I find funny today...is that I've read a bunch of headlines quoting a "Report: Rangers offer top prospect Olt for Dickey"; and all they are relying on is a twitter tweet from Andy Martino as their source...Is Andy Martino's twitter account anymore accurate than the stuff we come up with? We're not talking Rubin, or Rosenthal or someone that semi knows...

At this point keep Dickey and try to resign him. Myers was the real piece to go after and now that hes gone its pointless. Olt is not enough for Dickey. I want Dickey to remain a Met.
