Half the league doesn't have the tremendous amount of available money that the Cubs currently do. With that said, I'm still not sure what they're going to do at 3B. There is just nothing out there that is all that interesting, unless they can pull off a trade for an Arenado/Olt/Chisenhall etc.

Very happy. I never doubted they'd find some borderline credible starting pitchers. Putting a real bullpen together is a sign that they are serious, and this is a good start to that.

Which is kind of the point. In baseball, almost every team should have a chance at the beginning of the offseason. It's a high-variance, high-parity game.

I like it, especially if we do add a guy like K-Rod or Adams, adding both would be so sweet

I'd love adding Mike Adams. Suddenly the bullpen becomes a real strength and the team becomes a lot more watchable.

Hell yes! Love this deal! Feel like he'll live up to the contract, if not we have the open payroll to prove he cant.

    Good.

Obligatory David Kaplan is a tool comment.

I don't care what Kaplan says, this contract seems to be very trade friendly if it should come to that.

I could get behind that on a short term deal that's movable. Heard anything on Wilson?
