Might want to combine this with the other and change the title.
LETS GO CUBBIES...LETS GO DUKE!!!
If it's true that the Angels offered a two-year deal with a higher AAV, then maybe we signed Fujikawa for three or four.
EDIT: Ken Rosenthal:
Fujikawa deal with #Cubs is two years with a vesting option for a third. He likely will be the team's closer.
It wouldn't be the end of the world if we did. From everything we've heard, his stuff should transfer pretty well
Marmol gone?
^ Not necessarily. Trying to fix the bullpen. Might not mean Marmol is necessarily gone.
Stoops....there it is!Fix it. Fix it good.

Jon Heyman:
I'm taking that as $9.2 million over two years, or $4.6 million per.fujikawa got $9.,2M for 2 yrs from the #cubs
EDIT: Ken Rosenthal:
Fujikawa deal is $9.5M for two years.

LETS GO CUBBIES...LETS GO DUKE!!!
Cant really complain to much about this deal. I thought he would get 6-7 each year, so at this value even if hes not as good as advertised well be ok.
Ken Rosenthal:
A bit less garbled -- Fujikawa is due $5 million in 2013; $4 million in 2014. For 2015, the Cubs can either pay Fujikawa a $500,000 buyout or retain him for between $5.5 or $6 million.Fujikawa deal with #Cubs: $1M signing bonus, $4M salaries in 2013 and '14, plus vesting option at $5.5M or $6M based on games finished.
If Fujikawa option does not vest, #Cubs hold $5.5M club option with $500K buyout. A total of $9.5M guaranteed.
