What does this have to do with anything? That would apply equally to any hitter they got

Great example of something he didn't describe.

Also to the hitters they did get, which probably matters more than Imaginary Guy.

If you have a prospect you view as expendable and you need a starting pitcher or an MLB SS, you can't just trade it in for one of exactly comparable value. You have to find a partner to trade with in a very limited market.

(None of which makes the Royals trade make any more sense, because they also need outfielders)
Can we stop acting like Didi is an established player, he had 20 abs in the MLB

How does this make up for the fact that he is not a good hitter.

    And it describes you perfectly...

I'm not acting like anything. But the Diamondbacks appears to have wanted a player they believed could start for them at SS in 2013.

Just going to throw this out there...defense translates pretty well. He was not acquired for his bat, though that could surprise in the Arizona air.

It's certainly easier to assume he lives up to his hype - basically a Darwin Barney type starter at SS - than Bauer lives up to his. Bauer's got a ton of work to do to get to where he's said to be going.

Because the standard for good hitter, especially for SS, is not all that high and probably out of his realm of possibilities.

The other part is troll, but sure I do like calling my co-workers on their non-sense as they plow on ahead with full confidence anyway. I await my round of applause, but it's possible I forgot how that ended.
