But he hits the ball harder than anyone Stoney

On MLBTR, it said the Phillies tried to acquire Josh Willingham in the same package with Revere or a separate deal. Somebody let the Phillies know that Soriano would look very nice in that lineup and could hit a bunch of HR in that tiny stadium.

Texas isn't giving them any of their shortstops apparently.

What would it take to get Granderson? Any chance Marmol and a prospect would get it done?

uhhh...no. I don't even like Castro as much as most on here, but you could still get more for him else where

Really 15.5 over 2 years for McCarthy? And we are paying Feldman 6? I don't understand how we could not land him.

But yeah Im in your boat. Im not so ga-ga over Castro but id deal him for Bauer cuz Baez should be ready by 2014 when it is time for us to compete.

Baez is still in high-A. I'm as optimistic as anyone on how good he will be, but there is still a lot of hurdles to clear he has a chance to be the superstar that his ceiling indicates. Castro is already very, very valuable and only 22 with a good amount of projection left. In a perfect world, we can hang on to both of them and they both become all-stars on the left side of the infield for many years.

Castro is under a decent contract and put up ~3 WAR a season from the age of like 20-22. He's a valuable player, I just don't have the faith that he is going to become this consistent 5 WAR player that people on here do.

And Starlin is a top major league shortstop signed to a long term, team friendly contract. Bauer would make a great piece in a Castro trade, but you'd need to get one more top prospect and 2 low-A lottery tickets at least.
