why are people acting like the winter meetings are the end of the offseason?

Hamilton, Greinke, Bourn, Mccarthy, Liriano, etc, etc have not signed yet

According to Gonzales(Tribune) the Sox are shopping around De Aza. Since you guys have been rumored trying to acquire a starting CFer I think I would share it.

De Aza is cheap and still reasonably young to be a starter for the next 4 years he is under control.
But honestly it's hard for me to gauge the value of this guy. I'm still not sold on his ability,

edit: Rios and Viciedo are being offered too. But I don't know if this would be a need for you

Well if we do decide to trade Marmol in the offseason the Tigers are looking to trade for late inning relievers. So Marmol to Tigers can work.

I'm a little confused of what I was reading on about page 21 about Theo; is the assumption that he's outta here after the 5th year? If so I may feel differently about this direction.
    Down in this vagina mine.

I'm starting to want to sign Hamilton and Reynolds and play BJax in CF just to see if they (along with Sori) can simultaneously set records for both HRs and Ks from the OF and 3B. Give us a shot at history to root for.

He said at his introductory press conference he's guaranteed to move on from a franchise after a decade.

"I had a great 10 years with the Red Sox,” he said. “I had a lot of fun, we had a lot of success, we won two World Series, we saw our baseball operations department grow, the park improved, the city responded, I made friends that will last a lifetime and was able to share that with my family. I’d never trade that experience for anything. I believe (former football coach) Bill Walsh said it best that after 10 years you have to consider change, not only to benefit the individual, but also the organization. (The Red Sox) are in great hands and have a terrific future. I’m ready for the next big challenge and am ready to embrace it and move forward.”

•Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports suggests signing Hamilton wouldn’t solve all of the Mariners’ problems. If they aren’t prepared to increase spending up and down the roster, adding a player like Hamilton would not be the answer. Morosi suggests the Mariners might want to pursue a trade for David DeJesus of the Cubs.

MLBTR take it with a grain of salt

if david is moved that reopens the bourn ultimatum

True, just something to think about assuming in 10 years we're all still here, alive and sane.
