My mom rarely admits that she loves one of my friends, but she loved her. She was such a sweet girl. It breaks my heart to know how excited she was to celebrate her birthday and some ******* who decided it was a good idea to drink and drive took that away from her. He's fine, of course..

the farmer I work for farms right next to the telephone pole my uncle hit and died. I see it every time I work for him and I think about him, but it doesn't make me sad anymore. a girl actually died 3 years ago when her drunk boyfriend hit the pole right across the street from the one my uncle hit. it's kind of weird.
