The Braves are not trading Simmons. Too many other options to go to get that LF bat.

Looking at the Dback forum it appears they don't even know they have one.

Janish could fill in and you can always find someone who can plug in until someone else is developed. Simmons is very young and still raw in a lot of things.

I would assume Prado would probably fill in at SS until we could get one, which would be ASAP I'm sure. I think the trade would be stupid as hell though because upton is great and all but Simmons had his fair share of big hits and huge plays on D to make our pitchers look a LOT better.

Simmons isn't going anywhere. We can work some magic without trading our young stud

I HIGHLY doubt they pull the trigger on Simmons to the D'Backs.

Thats no reason to just trade him away. Anybody who has watched him play, scouts,Braves front office, has said he is their SS of the future. No one came out of the gate at 21 and was already in their prime. He has to grow and make adjustments, but he will be as good as anyone in this league.

Which is fine too. But, from every angle unless they acquire a major league ready young short stop they aren't going to trade Upton. Which makes sense. The same reason as to why he is not a Texas Ranger at this point. No Jurickson Profar or Elvis Andrus.

I like Justin Upton as much as the next person, but we do not need to trade and better not trade Simmons for him. If we can't work a deal with Delgado/JT, Nick Ahmed and some other prospects then please FW walk away. To many other options out there.

Maybe Wren heard the D'Backs were interested in Walden and plans to flip him again.
