Giants considering long term deal for Casilla

To review, only real decisions are Wlson and Casilla. Always possible, though unlikely, Sabean might try to deal Casilla for outfield help.

    Just an update to this:

Giants not active in trades, Sabean said. Bullpen could be a stand-pat thing. Casilla could sign multiyear. They've had conceptual talks.

Can anyone throw out a number of what Casilla would command? I wouldnt throw Casilla too much money, but would love Wilson back with an incentive basesed contract.

When he doesn't have blisters on his hand the dude is pretty lights out.

Considering Wilson is likely not returning i think it increases the chances that Casilla does return.

Casilla is a serviceable reliever as long as you don't put him into high pressure situations game after game.

If he signs long term, I'd imagine it will be at less than $5M per year, right?

I'm perfectly fine with that, just no closing please.

    Occasional closing is fine.
But I have a feeling that Casilla doesn't have the "short memory" you want from a closer.
If Casilla has a couple of bad outings, he can get into an extended meltdown mode. So the amount of pressure he faces needs to be managed.
