Saturday night's game in San Antonio should be quite interesting. Popovich made a decision to send home 4 players ,the usual 3 suspects plus a 25 year old in order to rest them for this game. Yes, he wants HCA over us; yes, he must have not realized(or anyone else for that matter) just how good the Grizz were going to be. But no, no said the commish who plans to fine them in some way. That Pop can make that decision is up to the NBA IMO; that he did it shows he really is concerned about the legs of his team.
That being said, the Memphis Grizzlies (12-2) take the league best record into SA Saturday night after a win Friday night in Memphis. Guessed Hollins was going to sit our guys??? No way but TA has a groin pull (REAL injury....did it in the Raps game). SA has a 13-4 record BTW.
Oh and yes, I don't remember anyone crying when the Memphis Grizzlies played the Miami Heat, OKC Thunder and the NY Knicks in 5 days.

Should be an interesting game, indeed. I'm ecstatic that the Grizzlies hold an elite 11-2 record thus far this season. Boy, what a game Speights had a few nights ago, putting together one of his best performances of the season, finishing with 18 points and 12 rebounds in the Grizzlies win over the Raptors. Hopefully he can bring that intensity to the SA game. I wish I could pick up the Spurs game, or atleast one Grizzlies game on TV. (My cable company is horrible) mzgrizz, do you have any ideas to were in the world I can see Memphis play on?

Ok, I bet ZBo has the game of his life tomorrow. He wasn't very effective tonight and ZBo WILL bring his A game to Tejas.

I am so ready for this game ! I have never taken San Antonio lightly. Always felt they had the firepower to come out and bully us around, especially in SA. Might very well have changed this season. Still find it very strange that Popovich pulled his big 4 against Miami. I think that speaks volumes for the overall health and stamina of the Spurs. Their bench ain't bad either....maybe Pops will give the 4 geezers(a 25 yr old, no less) some more rest tonight!
