Chiefs and Andy Reid Reach Agreement

The Kansas City Chiefs are on the verge of a deal to make Andy Reid their next head coach, according to league sources.

There still are minor details to work out but after nine hours of meetings Wednesday, one source involved in the talks said "the major issues have been discussed and agreed upon."

By the end of the day, the expectation amongst the parties in attendance was that a deal would be wrapped up.
One assistant coach aligned with Reid even texted Thursday morning that he is going to Kansas City, not Arizona.

Would be a great hire by the Chiefs. I could see why Reid would prefer KC to Arizona, having to deal with SF, Seattle, and the up and coming Rams for the next decade in the suddenly very tough NFC West. Over in the AFC West, he'd have to deal with Peyton for a couple more years and the two bumbling organizations in San Diego and Oakland. He's got better chance to succeed quicker in a a great football town in KC than Arizona IMO.

Less about that, more about organizational control. He'll have more of it in KC than he could have gotten in Arizona or probably even San Diego.

He's got great pieces in KC. Much easier to coach a noob qb with an already good offensive line then it is to coach a potential good qb with an offensive line that is in shambles.....plus lets not mention the rb he has in KC compared to in Zona lol

I'll take my chances in KC ESP since Andy will demand full team and all team operations
