I'd been thinking of buying a Lightroom/Elements combo, since there was no way I was going to spend $700 on CSx and I'm not about to torrent something like that. Just mentioned it to my boss today though and he said he could probably get it for me free or mostly paid.

Tell me this, what does the ISP's gain for going through with this "Six Strike Law" ?

The mitigation of offending customers and lessened liability and legal costs from the actions with the MPAA, Bangbros, etc. as a result.

In civil copyright cases, the burden of proof typically falls upon the plaintiff to provide evidence of ownership and an infringement of copyright. The Six Strikes law shifts the that burden to the of the accused making them responsible to prove the violation did not occur to avoid a penalty/sanction. If that doesn't sound like "guilty until proven innocent," I'm not sure what does.

The real kicker is it's all legal as it requires voluntary agreement (your contract) between you and the ISP. If you don't like it, go find another ISP that doesn't comply - one of the ~25% of providers not signed up to participate.

I downloaded it a long time ago off of limewire and somehow the company found out and sent me a letter in snail mail to either delete or get a federal charge.

Also, I am checking out TWD for the first time, it is mind ******* confusing, I always thought it came on a premium channel that I didn't get.

I used to get all of my music, ps, etc from it but this has been years ago. I think it went to a charge site anyway, the only other site to do I know of is frostwire, unless you can get it on torrents.
