I think Houston has fallen in love with Asik and that contract is too good to just trade him. I think Houston will S&T for Smith.
Lin/Harden/Parsons/Smith/Asik can make some noise in the playoffs.
ANYWAYS, this is OTT no bball talk other than pick up ball.

Yeah, that team can make some noise. But is it an actual title contender? No, it wouldn't. But, say they trade Asik for Josh Smith (allowing ATL to move Horford to the PF position) and then sign Dwight Howard in the off-season, they'd have:
Lin/Harden/Parsons/Smith/Howard
I don't like Howard... I was on the boat to bring him here but he seems to be on that boat of Melo type team player.

I don't like him one bit either... but he is a lot easier to build around than Carmelo Anthony, and has been able to lead his team to a Finals appearance before. He can go down as arguably the 2nd best "2nd most important player" on any team in the history of the league (with the likes of Scottie Pippen, John Stockton, etc).
Will it happen? I highly doubt it because it's Dwight Howard and he hasn't shown anything that those all-time great leaders have shown
