In the last couple of years we had Starks and Green just waiting for a chance. Is this the year we finally draft a rb in the first?

There is some blame on the RBs yeah, but idc if you have AP or who ever, the run blocking from the offensive line is terrible!
The offensive line is to blame yes, but look what Bryce Brown did behind basically a complete backup offensive line.
Ted Thompson is awful at evaluating talent on te offensive live and running backs. This isn't a surprise. We weren't amazing when we won the Super Bowl. We are now pedestrian with it and it is killing us.
Montee Ball?? I wish.

I'd rather see s stud OL that anyone can run behind. Seems like some teams always have that ability to plug in whoever and get production. But agreed, we are terrible with identifying and developing both of these positions.
It will be addressed by a late 6th round pick and an UDFA. They will compete with Starks, Green, and the resigned Benson - bad foot and all.

Well first off there is no RB at this point I would consider taking in the first round. And like others have said our line doesn't help much. So I think we take someone mid rounds and go with what we have
Yeah I agree however the scheme needs to be addressed or even great OLmen won't do anything for any RB.
I don't know that RB's are all that important if you have the scheme and the blocking in front. Obviously you have anomalies like AP and Ray Rice, but they are extremely far and few between.
If I facepalmed any harder I would have cracked my own skull.
Unless it's a Adrian Peterson type player coming out don't hold your breath on Ted using a 1st round pick on a rb. RB's have such a short shelf life so Thompson would and will almost always look for one in the 3-5 rds. I know this drives a lot of people crazy, but I would expect us to go after some offensive lineman in the draft pretty heavy. Especially without knowing what will eventually happen with Sherrod, if he will actually ever play or turn out like a Justin Harrell where we sit and wait until it never happens.
Just got a text from ESPN saying Cedric Benson will remain on the IR.![]()
