    Oh ok.

Lets start Tim Tebow at ILB and see if you miss DHarris by halftime.

Harris is a solid LB. The problem is he is being paid like an elite player when he isn't one. He is great against the run but is a liability in pass coverage. The only way I trade him is if we get a few draft picks in return in the 2-4 rounds range.

Does anyone know his value? He's being paid a ton. Could the Jets get a 3rd for him? And if they did, they'd have to replace him. Why bother when we have so many needs? Does anyone ever consider such acts when making these poorly thought-out threads?

Please....Tackles are an important stat. How else do you evaluate the play of the ILB? If your ILB or Lb's are leading your team in tackles thats usually a good thing. Poor ILB play means your safeties are usually leading the team in tackles. Thats not a good thing.

If you want to say that he only has 77 total tackles with 44 ast then maybe I can understand your stance.

But to say flat out that tackles are meaningless is silly at best.

Tackles is sort of like the RBI's of football. It's a volume stat that ILB's basically always lead their teams in. Saying David Harris leads the team in tackles is like saying Mark Sanchez leads the team in pass yards.

Unfortunately for you, not all ILB/MLBs lead their team in tackles.

Saying tackles don't matter as a defensive stat, is like saying Sanchez's butt fumble was the fault of the butt.

HMMMM So now Rbi's arent important? Glad you arent a GM!!

As far as ILB always leading teams in tackles. Thats so far from reality its not funny.

    Olb's can lead in tackles
    Chad Greenway (Minn)
    Jerod Mayo (NE)

    Safeties can lead in tackles
    Morgan Burnett (GB)
    Bernard Pollard (Bal)

MLB/ILB have a higher % of team tackles because thats what they do. If you dont have a solid MLB/ILB then your team is usually not good on the defensive side of the ball.

Saying David Harris leads the team in tackles is like saying Mark Sanchez leads the team in turnovers.

I don't agree with what he said about tackles, but RBIs are one of the most overrated stats in all of sports.

    RBI's aren't important. I don't care if a guy has zero RBI's as long as he hits 30 HR's.

These Homers thinking any team would give up anything of value, even a late round pick for an average LB making 14 million are crazy. David Harris has negative value because of his contract. The Jets are the ones who would have to give up a draft pick to get rid of his contract.
