    Kyle Lohse

    Don't want him but...
Mark Saxon of ESPN Los Angeles reports that the Dodgers have interest in free agent right-hander Kyle Lohse. The deep-pocketed Dodgers are widely expected to be in the market for a starter this offseason and have also been mentioned as a possible suitor for Zack Greinke and Anibal Sanchez. Lohse declined a qualifying offer from the Cardinals in order to test free agency, so the Dodgers would surrender a draft pick if they end up signing him.

I like him. He's solid, not spectacular but very solid. No doubt Greinke is a #1 but $150M for a SP?? Remember we are gonna have to pay Kershaw soon and just wait until those numbers are thrown around. Just because we have the money doesn't mean we spend foolishly. Be prudent; sign Lohse and sign Ryu. We can get those 2 guys for cheaper than Greinke.

I'd prefer Grienke but I am going to happy with and root for whoever the team signs.

I would surprised if this is anything but a contingency plan for if they were to miss out on Greinke and Sanchez.

If we miss out on Greinke and Sanchez, I would bet we go for Lohse or consider the trade market for a solid pitcher.

I like him, but the draft pick scares me.... Just get Greinke and call it good

And prior to 2011 he was glorified batting practice, a la Brett Tomko. He can easily revert to being that type of pitcher again.

Definitely stick with Greinke and get Ryu if you can. That way we don't have to give up a draft pick.

    Kyle Lohse

Pass. He isn't the pitcher we need, at all. He isn't better than bills or Beckett so why bother?

Eh, I think Lohse would definitely be better for the team than Beckett.

Don't think the Dodgers would get him though

Yea but Beckett is already on the team and we are paying him so he'll be in the starting rotation if he's healthy......unless we can deal him in a package for Dickey. (very doubtful though)
