Young, Athletic, Showed he can play, and hits like a truck. Why not pick him up?

Is it impossible that he could improve from better coaching? He has the physical ability to cover.

I've seen him play and he has certainly been disappointing. I think he has two years after this on his contract. I'm not sure what the cap hit would be to claim him, but if it is reasonable I think he is worth a shot.

At least he's fast. If he was somewhat better and had less of an attitude problem, I'd seriously consider getting rid of David Harris this offseason to go along with the 3 other linebackers as well.

Hypothetically, we don't switch to a 4-3 and we pick this guy up.
    Wilkerson-Ellis-Coples/someone (assuming Devito is cut)
Draft-Davis-McClain-Draft/sign a veteran with the money we clear from Harris
    Revis-Landry-free agent-Cromartie.

Harris makes way too much money to play like the **** he has this season. You have to seriously consider letting him loose if you can save a lot of money from it. Hurts to say it but he's way too inconsistent. I don't also know how he fits a 4-3. Lots of you guys have been placing him as a middle linebacker in a 4-3 but I think he's way too big and fits more of an OLB role than that.

Same coaches that turned Maybin and Gholston into pro bowlers? Tired of projects..Jets dont seem to do too well with them.

First of all why would you have that as your sig?

Second, that really isn't a reason not to pick him up. Because two players who probably couldn't make it on any NFL team couldn't break through on the Jets, the team should just not go after unpolished players?

The team has so many needs, and not all of them can be addressed in the draft. I don't see the harm in giving someone with obvious physical talent a chance.

nothing is impossible, but i just struggle to believe mcclain will ever become a viable starting ILB in the NFL

Alright well after seeing that his salary next year is $4 million, I definitely don't think the Jets should attempt to claim him.

However, if no team claims him, which is probably likely, I'd like the Jets to give him a shot for the rest of the year. Which really just reinforces my opinion that the Jets LBs are crap more than anything else.

Because I love me some Sanchez. Hes just a Megatron,Andre Johnson and Wes Welker away from being a good QB.

Yeah problem is our coaches didnt see that and talked those 2 players up like they were the next HOF players to dress in Jets green. This has been done several times since 09 with diff players. Then we let go of players who actually can help on ST's or in certain packages like 3rd down rb's etc..We keep robbing from the offense to give to the defense.

The team has so many needs, and not all of them can be addressed in the draft. I don't see the harm in giving someone with obvious physical talent a chance.

I also say no to him.

You should learn to do multi-quotes so you can respond to individual items without the rest of us having to figure out what part of your post is yours and what part is the other guy's.

    It's really easy to do.

Oh yeah, and...no, you don't hate Sanchez. I believe you. I really, really do. I swear.

Well...Your tone was very sarcastic in my mind.

Then again, I did say I believe you.

Personally I'd prefer make progress in learning how to multi quote.

If you stop hating Sanchez, we'd have nothing to fight about.

First this guy was top notch talent out of college had a nice year last year what could it do to bring him in? its low risk high reward, OUR LB'S SUCK, 2nd I personally think harris because of how bad our other LB's are he has to try n do so much more and make up for things I think the guy yes overpaid but he is a great player... He has 0 help so i would not jump the gun on a guy who annually averages around 100 tackles and 4+ sacks...
