I agree with the top 3 but thats about it. Our system is pretty weak, somewhere in the bottom 3rd. But our top 3 is solid.

Yet another top prospect for the Angels at the hot corner. Hopefully for the sake of Cowart and the Angels he turns out a little bit better than McPherson and Wood. Cowart spent the 2011 season in Orem rookie ball. He posted solid numbers for a guy basically coming out of high school straight into facing guys coming out of college. But the Angels did not think he was ready for Advanced Single-A like his Orem teammates C.J. Cron and Taylor Lindsey so he was sent to Single-A. Cowart put up good numbers in the first half of the season making the Midwest League all star team which earned him a promotion to Advanced Single-A by the middle of June. When Cowart arrived to Advanced Single-A he started taking walks like he was 2004 Barry Bonds. OK maybe that was a slight exaggeration but he went from walking 7.6% of the time in the first half to walking 14.3% in the second half. Cowart had the same number of at bats in Advanced Single-A as he had in Single-A but he was able to more than double his walks even though he was facing tougher competition. Cowart's patience is not his only asset he is a good defender with a very strong arm. Coming out of high school scouts liked Cowart better on the mound where he routinely reached the high 90s. The Angels liked him better at third base so he now boasts one of the best arms for an infielder in all of the minor leagues. Cowart profiles to hit for more power down the road as his body fills out, but as it stands he still has above average power. 2012 was Cowart's first year in full season baseball and he began to wear down towards the end of the season. He finished the season going 4-42, with only one extra base hit. If it weren't for those 42 at bats his numbers would have looked much better (Avg .298 OBP .396 SLG .502) in Advanced Single-A. After the season he went and played in the Arizona Fall league where he faced the best guys from other organizations who were in Double-A and Triple-A. Scouts said he looked worn down, much like they said about Trout in last years AFL. This is not really something to worry about, its just part of the process of getting used to playing 160 games a year. If there was one area of concern with Cowart it would be his strikeout rate. But once again if you take out those last 42 AB his strikeout rate drops from 21.3% to 17.7% which is not a concern at all. Cowart is likely headed to Double-A where he could see a mid season promotion to the Major Leagues if Callaspo struggles or goes down for an extended period of time (Trout 2011). But I think its more likely for him to spend the majority of the year in Double-A with a September call up or late season promotion to Triple-A. I see him making his major league debut sometime in 2014.

well he said 2011 alex gordon, and if we have a 3rd basemen that hits 23 home runs and a crap ton of doubles plus steals 17 bases and slashes .302/.372/.502
depending on his defense that's a god damn all-star.

hey vladdy i read somthing interesting, our Cal league team scored the 2nd fewest runs in the league, this is despite having 3 of our best offensive prospects at that level, and in particular cron having 123 rbi in 129 games.

so CJ Corn has had a shoulder injury in College, a knee injury last year and another shoulder injury this year, I am beginning to see a trend
