Really? He has been the third best QB in the NFL over the past 5 weeks. Only being beat by Brady and Peyton Manning. Not saying he is the rookie of the year, but he will get votes. You seem to be the forum fool based on what I have been reading.

Alfred Morris and Doug Martin should be in the equation as well.

Too bad they lost 3 times.

Or the part where you state him matter of factly as the 3rd best QB based on some hocus pocus made up ESPN stat that nobody pays attention to until their QB rates high on it.

How about his passing stat line during that span

Sweet!! I wish my QB threw for 180 yards a game!!!!! I would definitely praise him as the third best QB in the NFL too.

In terms of shock factor and no one expecting it, Russel Wilson hands down... A 3rd rounder who no one ever dreamed of him starting beat out Flynn for the starting role and has one of the highest QBR's in the league since week 5

Ya know when I said RG3 I had totally forgot all about Martin.

I still go RG3 however I would not blink if Martin won it cause both are deserving.

Quite the good class of ROY candidates.

My opinions are usually valued pretty high in these forums outside of BDawk and Giants fans

That being said I was joking about Negative votes because of what he did to the packers but on a serious note I would not even have him in the discussion when you look at guys like RG3/Martin/luck.{this does not mean I think he is bad...I think he has been good and has potential....I just think RG3/Martin and on are that much better}.

Sidenote-Calling someone a forum fool because you are puter mad that we do not agree on something will get you a ton of brownie points and totally make you look like a knowledgeable poster... Keep at it young fella.

over 2000 combined yards better stats than APs rookie year...nuff said?
Martin is on pace to have the 3rd most yards from scrimmage all time for a rookie

only behind eric dickerson in 83 and edgerrin james in 99
better rookie year stats then anyone in the league now and barry sanders, gale sayers and all the rest

how do you guys compare a good rookie season for a qb to an all time great rookie season for a rb

RG3 is not even in the conversation right now. It's between Luck and Martin. Skins will not make the playoffs so that will continue to leave RG3 out of the conversation. It may come down to whose team makes and/or gets further in the playoffs between Luck & Martin.

Dude HIGHEST RATED QBR SINCE WEEK 5 BRO.

I heard if you take out all his INT and incompletions that he has a 100% comp rating too!

Man I love distorting stats for my own benefit. Especially pointless ones like TotalCrapBR

I think it should come down to Griffin vs Martin

Luck has had a ton of help getting the colts into playoff position but his 13-13 is no where near rg3s 16-4...russell wilson shouldnt even be in this conversation

luck, rg3 and martin are the only real contenders

Headed for the record book: Tampa Bay rookie running back Doug Martin is second in the NFL with 1,382 yards from scrimmage. No rookie has led the league in yards from scrimmage since Eric Dickerson in 1983. Martin needs 59 yards to break Warrick Dunn’s franchise record for yards from scrimmage by a rookie.

If the question is "who is going to have the best career" I might answer differently, but if you judge them by what they've done, I dont think it's close - RGIII has been standout. Not that it means much, but you'd expect to see the lad in the pro bowl.

I think Luck is everything he was cracked up to be at the start.

I had my doubts about RGIII before the season, but to be fair he's made every doubter eat their words through his play and character.
