I think some in this thread are mixing their Giant hate a little too much with Wilson. The guy is a legit dominant closer when healthy. I could see an incentive laden deal with an opportunity for him to make the salary he is commanding based on appearances over the season. Certainly I wouldnt go for more than 1 year like others have stated in this thread until he proves he is the same guy again after major surgery. jmo. As I said before, if he is healthy, our bullpen will be top notch. Of course we need to sign him first. Lets see what happens.
Although I think Wilson is a tad overrated I would take him but not as a closer...
I want him to make Giants fans panic and bitter.
But in all seriousness I would take him to be our 7th-8th inning guy why not overpay for him for one year? Shouldn't hurt plus it makes the cheap Giants a little weaker...
The Giants at most will only keep their team together(for the most part) while the Dodgers are making it rain like the money isn't real... I agree with Brandon League we are the favorites unless the Giants do the unthinkable and sign Josh Hamiltion(they have the money).
No way, I don't want anymore ex-giants, angels, or phillies on my team.
**** that guy
1 year deal will be good..
Sign him to a 2 year heavily incentive laden contract but with enough guaranteed to make it worth his while.

rather pay extra and get soriano. bellisario/jansen/league/soriano 6th-9th would be unstoppable
To me this is just a negotiating ploy.
More of a threat to the Giants FO

1st time I absolutely disagree with you. This is another Uribe/Schmidt deal (which is why Colletti will probably do it) waiting to happen. 2/12 is FAR to high for him. If we had to (and I don't want to) sign him a 1yr X 1.5 mil with incentives is all he deserves.
