Hmmm him jus being a former giant scares me... as we always get there trash players...lol but i think a 1 yr 3mill with a possible 3 more mill in incentives would work . It would mean he has to earn his money and if he does we all know that would hurt the giants...

Thats what the Giants are looking to give him, if he wants that he will stay with the Giants. I'm assuming it will take 5+ guarenteed to even get started

Honestly as much as I hate him I think it would be hilarious to have the giants former golden boy closer as a 7-8th inning guy. My buddy is a giants fan so this is just fodder for me lol.

I think people should be open to this idea despite your feelings against the guy. He is the type of dude that can be a difference maker late in games and really stretch out our bullpen. Give him incentives in his deal for 1 year and I say sign him with the possibility of making his desired 8 million. If he turns out well, we can resign him later if there isnt anybody else available. If we were operating on last seasons payroll, I would say forget it but our new ownership is operating with such a monster budget, I dont think we are restricted to signing anybody we wanted.
