Yes depending on the situation.
Unlike Shaq he doesn't make FT's under pressure.
There is a reason Shaq led the 00-02 Lakers in 4th-Q playoff scoring.
Shaq was clutch with his FT's especially in big moments.
(Not saying he never missed any but he was way better then Dwight)
We are for the most part basketball "experts" , we know the game in this forum, we watch every game, we know what we're talking about, and you're trying to offend people here saying that, pau is hurting this team more than any other player from what he brings and not brings on the court and financially.
We'll have to trade him soon before it's too late if he doesn't man up.
Deal with it.
Having Howard standing at the three point line is silly, but utilizing Gasol in the post more often in key situations is not. Off the ball, Howard can crash the offensive glass or slash to the basket for a lob (or bounce pass or whatever kind of assist) from Gasol or one of the other good passers.
It brings into play Gasol's post game, his FT shooting, his passing, Howard's offensive rebounding, and is likely to make all five players more effective, emphasizing strengths and de-emphasizing weaknesses, even if it's only done in the final quarter.

He should go to the corner and nail a three every possession in the 4th lol
This is not the end.

yeah jamison played so well vs pacers........oh wait.
[SUMMER IS COMING
We need a stretch 4. Jamison plays well at the 4 when he is in the game instead of the 3. Pau is a solid player no doubt, but he doesn't fit in Dantoni offense more then a stretch 4 does. Pau's defense is horrific. Not trying to discredit what you are saying cause it's a point that is the only option i see that would work in the offense. Gasual serves better more in the post but he's a very smarrt player and a team player. His unselfishness a lot of times becomes his weakness
Here is my question, if the opponent scores while Dwight is on the floor. You are down by 2, and there are 5 seconds left, do you take out Dwight for the final possession?
I would say NO because of his rebounding and ability to get other guys open. Remember when Phil would keep Shaq late in the game? The only reason why Horry got that game winning three against the Kings was because Shaq rebounded Kobe's miss and then Divac deflected it towards Horry.
