Also what if we did a lottery for the proposed contraction draft. No real reason other than I have always wanted to be part of a lottery draft.

That way no one can tank here. Worst record would give you most chances, but wouldnt gaurantee anything.[

This could also be a way to discourage tanking as well.

Instead if losing a team name like the Yankees couldn't a team just change names and city's it's doable in the game?

if anything ill switch to the yanks and you could just get rid of texas since i am a huge *** yankee fan lol. Maybe instead of switching teams from NL to AL you just go east coast/west coast and just fill in the rest of the teams that seems fit. Just another idea you could do with realignment. As for like a draft you should take your average record over the past 5-10 whatever it may be and do the snake draft that way. lowest to highest of course.

    I'm fine with contraction.

I'd be against a cap on how much FAs can sign for as then multiple teams will bid the cap amount leaving it pretty much up to randomness as to who gets that player. Let the financials take care of high salaries.

I'd allow people the chance to change teams before the contraction (e.g., if someone wants to take the Yankees), or changing team names is also an option.

I'm fine with all players from contracted teams going into FA.

If we do a contraction draft, why can't the guys that were going to be FAs just go to FA and not be part of that draft.

I like the idea of a 2 round, random, serpentine draft.

Might be easier to just let the major league players on those teams go to fa and jus draft tr prospects since we don't want some prospect getting 10mill to play single a. Love the east and west coast idea and dh in both leagues. I think you can go off the record of the last 3 years or so for order if not a team like Boston or Kc will get a top pick despite being a good team now.

we could do it a fair way across the board.. say we contract 4 teams leaving 20 left .. a sign each team with a number than go to random.org and select the order that way .. its fair to each team?
