If any of these reports are accurate then this is just comical.

First they said 2012 offseason was going to be one in which they focused on improving the team with more "flexibility." Then there was no flexibility and they had to make trades to improve the team.

Now they won't make trades (supposedly) and plan to improve the team through free agency... somehow without spending money.

Reading about this organization's plans is dizzying. And unfortunately their results don't ever justify their methodology.

I don't trust anything Alderson says. Last off season he said he was gonna sign Jose Reyes, then he said with the savings we got from not signing Reyes he would use to better the team. Instead he signed garbage players and we got garbage results. Then when the Madoff lawsuit was settle we they said the Mets had money to spend but we didn't. Then they pimped out the franchise to people like Bill Maher and raised 200 million but nothing but signings for hitters that bat .155 and pitchers who arms have fallen off the year before. Boycott the Mets it will force them to sell if no one is in the stands.

Mets should trade wright and dickey. We as Fans have to understand Wright is good but not a guy that can carry a ball club. Look at his second half numbers last season. They dipped. Dickey's value will never be higher. Trade both. Toronto is looking for a pitcher and wright would be coveted by alot of teams.

We are not going to the playoffs either way. build the team around Harvey and Wheeler. Lets see who we get in these deals. Also in a year or 2 when these young players are coming around hopefully our finances are better and we can sign a couple of veterans.

I'm starting to see, as hard as it seems to do, that trading Wright may be the best move for us. We need help at too many positions. I'm going to be honest, if they trade David, I'll probably cry and be depressed for a week. But if the haul is worth it, and makes us better, I'll come around to see that.
