He's a pretty well known guy/significant contributor in the sports analytics community. And he published "Who Controls the Plate Isolating the Pitcher/Batter subgame" which used some interesting statistical techniques to split credit (now used in ESPN's QBR). Also created the Journal of Quantitative Analysis in Sports.
I'm sure there will be some interesting sabermetric insights in his book for those interested. Of course, for those interested in APBRmetrics and NFLmetrics (don't know what the correct term for NFL advanced metrics is, don't think there is one actually), he'll also talk about that.
