Yeah, it's still early but the mocks are all over the place. Bleacher Report (I know) has us drafting 8th?

DraftExp has us taking Ben McLemore at 17, others have him top 5. Weird stuff right now. It either suggests we might find value with our pick or these guys are just making stuff up since it's only January

Rudy Gobert from France is who I want. 7'1 with a 7'9 wingspan.

Could be a dominant center if he fully develops.

I think we need a scoring SF to replace Pierce. I know everyone looking at C but hopefully Melo doesnt run into anymore doorways.

Replacing Pierce is certainly a priority going forward.

They may already have two candidates in Green and Joseph.

Pierce is durable and plays a lot of minutes. Great attributes for the position. It's difficult to know if Green and / or Joseph have those same attributes because Pierce does.

I'd like to see Green get 30 mins / game for about 2 weeks straight before writing him off. I suspect, that's what was behind DAnny signing him to a 4 yr deal.

Joseph is stuck behind both Pierce and Green right now. He has shown well in summer league and D-league. He is going to force a decision to made during camp next year, if not before.

    PG - Trey Burke
    PF - Jackie Carmichael
C - Jeff Whithy, Gorgui Dieng

If we're drafting around 20 I think those would all be good picks

Impressed with a couple of Illini today.

Brandon Paul 6'4" 200 lb PG

    Joseph Bertrand 6'6" 195 lb G / F

    EDIT:

DeShaun Thomas for Ohio State was impressive as usual. At 6'7" and 225 lbs he's got an NBA body.

Honestly not a name I was familar with. So I did some research. Thanks to the Internet and youtube.

He's currently 20 years old and listed 7'2" 240 pounds. Real athletic. Appears to be a lefty. No offense outside of dunks. Good shot blocker. Projected as a possible lottery pick?

Question: Do you think he is strong enough to play in the NBA?

Watching Iowa @ Michigan. Two big kids with bright futures.

Mitch McGary for Michigan is a 6'10" 250 monster on defense. Blocks shot, outlet passes, led a fast break.

Adam Woodberry of Iowa is a 7'0" with an old school post game. Good size, moves well, has made hook shots with both left and right hands.

    Both are freshmen.

This Michigan team is LOADED. They share the ball. They play defense. If you like basketball played right, check these guys out.

I like Mitch McGary too. I got to see him and Nerlens Noel play each other last year at the Hoophall Classic in Springfield Mass. I was working the event. McGary can be very explosive.

    Celts, Sox, Pats, Bruins

    Now watching Temple at Kansas.

Withey is tall and athletic. 7'0" 235 lbs. More finesse than McGary or Woodberry. Good shot blocker. Plays well in "big" games.

    Players of note this week.

    Ben McLemore
    Trevor Mbakwe
    Tim Hardaway Jr.
    Mitch McGary
    Gorgui Dieng

This B1G "10" conference is L-O-A-D-E-D this year.

Trying to decide whether Aaron Craft has any chance to play in the NBA. Best lockdown defending guard I have seen a a very long time. Limited offensively. Don't know that he wold ever be anything more than a role player in NBA?

Still don't know about Louisville's Russdiculous Smith and Peyton Siva.... not much height, lots of speed ad a dynamic tandem. See how they look against Syracuse on Saturday.

Jimmy Jackson's boy at Wisconsin ... Traevon? Much, MUCH improved. He's one that will stay 3-4 years but could be a solid prospect by the time he's done in college.

I like Peyton Siva he'd be a good energy guy off the bench in the NBA
