College basketball - too early to think draft?

Watching this NC State at Michigan game. Michigan is loaded with prospects - Hardaway JR, Glenn Robinson III, Trey Burke, Nik Staskas, McGary. CJ Leslie from NC State has an NBA style game.

Looking forward to Indiana v NC next.

Thought we could use this thread to keep track of college players that we would like to see / might end up in Boston.

    Zeller and Oladipo.

Hulls is a shooter but really short and not an NBA caliber point.

Jeff Withey would be a nice add for backup C.

I'd really like to be able to trade up for an explosive athletic scorer with size.

26 NBA scouts in attendance at NC @ Indiana game.

McAdoo is a blue collar type. Strong PF type. Does the dirty work.

No shot for us, but I like the Louisville Point Guard Smith.

Never to early for draft talk.

Smith or Siva? Siva is the point although at 6'0" "ish" Russ Smith will need to play point in the NBA. Gorgui Dieng... out for 4-6 weeks with a broken wrist... is one I have mentioned before. Rebounds, blocks shots, plays D and enough offense to keep people honest.

OSU at Duke will have a lot of NBA talent on the floor tonight. DeShaun Thomas... would love to see him in green.

    from his wikipedia page;

McAdoo's parents, Ronnie and Janet, both played basketball at Old Dominion in the late 1970s and the early 80s, and went on to play professionally in Europe, while his older sister Kelsey also played basketball at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.[10]

McAdoo's father is the second cousin of Hall of Fame basketball player Bob McAdoo, who played at North Carolina and in the NBA.[9] James McAdoo said he called Bob "uncle" although he didn't know what their exact relationship was, and that "My dad's great-great-great grandfather and [Bob's] great-grandfather are like brothers."[10]

Good genes. Good basketball minds to be around while he was learning the game as a youngster.

Yeah I like him and Gorgui Dieng as backup, defensive specialist centers.

Withey is going to go top 20 based on his defensive potential alone.

He shut down Anthony Davis in the finals last year.

I'm on an Alex kick... Alex Poythress... and Alex Oriakhi... (More realistic pick as far as the C's draft status)...

Poythress and Oriakhi.... 6'8"ish, 240 lb forwards? You may well be right about them being more realistic picks for Celtics. Is it okay to hope a 6'11" 260 lb rebounding and shot blocking athlete drops to them?

I'm already zeroing in on Gorgui Dieng of Louisville. 6'11" with a 7'6" wing span and 245 pounds. Rebounds, blocks shots, passes well. Offensively he is not very polished and I'm hoping that allows him to slip to the C's.
