Great news. As stated above me, get Goldson next. That guy is a special talent as well. It's nice to know we will be competitive for the next 5+ years at least.

Don't get me wrong, I'm ecstatic we're keeping him and I hope we can keep everyone. But the fact is, we can't pay everyone. Looks like Bowman won't be the odd man out, so who will? Goldson, Sopoaga, and Walker are FA's this offseason. Whitner, Tarell Brown, amd Justin Smith are FA next year. We just gave Carlos Rogers almost 30 million and Ahmad Brooks 37 million. Don't get ahead of yourself, it's very possible someone will hit the FA market.

I think the 49ers let Sopoaga walk and re-sign RJF. Cheaper and younger. Then they will draft a couple defensive lineman.

How am I getting ahead of myself? I just found it funny that Bowman was considered by many fans to be the odd man out. I'm simply commenting on the fact that he wasn't. Now if I said go out and sign Goldson, Sopoaga, and Walker and call it day, I'd be getting ahead of myself.
