GBP is trying to have Canelo fight opponents coming off wins to build credibility. Too bad it's not working out ATM. They just need to have him fight Mayweather or Martinez. But we all know that's not happening.

Pretty shocked by this fight, I underestimated Trout's defensive ability. He's a smart fighter in the ring and completely deserved the victory. He had his way down the stretch. He seems super humble and likable though his fighting style isn't the most exciting, I see no reason why he can't be built up as a big star by Al Haymon.

Sad to see Cotto lose though, I really don't know where he can go from here. His face is too messed up with all that scar tissue and at 154 he's too small for legitimate light middleweights. Plus, at 32 I doubt he can make it back to welterweight.

I don't think Floyd wants to fight him for the same reasons cotto shouldn't have fought trout. I dint ever hear floyds name in the mix anymore, and Its been a long time nice Floyd fought young fighters anyway.

I think trout my be stuck w golovotkin.

And gbp doesn't seem in any rush to make a fight w Martinez. Martinez doesn't make it hard to get a fight done.

Canelo losing Alvarez leaves him on the outside w nothing but bum opponents left. My guess is canelo is bored wtjose kinds of fights.

Trout was just to big for cotto but cotto still fought great and has nothing to be ashamed of, the fight was alot closer then what the cards said. He probably shouldnt of taken the fight to begin with. He needs to get out of that division.

Honestly, this fight seemed more like Cotto lost than
Trout won, if that makes any sense. I wasn't all that
impressed with Trout in this fight. I wanna see him
beat somebody who can emotionally rock him back
on his heels, and see what he does with that.

Cotto just looks beat in every way a person can
be beat right now. I love the guy as a fighter.
He's proven himself in this game. It's time
to rest and recoup a while and spend some
time with that beautiful family of his.

I think it's so funny his oldest son has those
same hound-dog lookin' eyebrows Cotto does.

Anyway, yeah. I'm not sold on Trout yet. I need
to see him vs. Canelo before I have any real
opinion on him. 'Looks like that may take a while...
