    Why? Serious

To stunt young players coming up?

Lions can't afford who they do have next season let alone another 5 mil guy

That's a fit but you don't even have the 1.5 mil in cap

This. No chance a guy with 5.5 sacks falls that far on waivers. I hope he's ready to move to KC!

    Eagles release Jason Babin

He fits like a love for Atlanta. Doubt it happens though.

What young players do we have at DE? All of our DE outside of KVB are FA and there's a possibility KVB is cut this off season so we kind of need some defensive ends...

I would imagine several teams would be interested if they have the money. I would think Aso is next on the list of guys getting cut but who knows?

Yeah, we have yet to find someone to actually pass rush opposite of Abraham [who has 9].

Since the giants don't and redskins don't. I don't need a link to a salary cap page, I have google on my phone.

By all means pick him up and run him in your base 4-3. It will keep a good pass rusher you do have off the field
Giants put a lot pass rushers at DT and have sent Osi wide 9 often when the interior is tied up. Doubt they go for Babin but it certainly wouldn't be a negative. Especially against some of these offensive lines.

Unfortunately this year is over for the lions which you know. So why waste money on a DE that will be 33 before next season?

The young guys you have will come from the draft and FA.

KC already had him for 7 games. They liked him so much they let him go to the Eagles in the offseason. where he backed up for the whole season (before the Wide 9). Then went to Tennessee where they ran the wide 9 and obviously with the Eagles last year. He's had 2 "good" years (if you count only rushing the passer and not playing the run whatsoever good) and now all of a sudden people are shocked? He's a journeymen player.

    Eagles release Jason Babin

I can't see any team that is not making a playoff push this year go after him.
