No way this happens, Kap needs all the snaps he can get for experience purposes.

Rams, Dolphins, Patriots, Cardinals are 4 of the last 5 games... so I don't see Kaepernick struggling that much.

However, what does Harbaugh do when kaepernick struggles in the playoffs? That would be weird, making that switch in the middle of a playoff game. How would Alex feel after sitting the bench for 6 weeks... and how would Kap feel after playing 6 weeks than sucking in the playoffs and getting pulled. Just one of the main reasons why I don't like the QB decision for this season and this years playoffs.

What if the world ends on the 21st of Dec, then we don't have to worry about Kap maybe having a bad game just like QBs do every year in the regular season and the playoffs. Kind of starting to hope for that to happen at this point, sick of the overthinking and worrying.

Another interesting aspect will be that this will be the first team that Kaep faces that has already seen him. Idk how much it comes into play. Just a thought

It's huge. It means after Sunday no one will be able to say "Wait til CK plays a team that has played him before and has tape on him. They will get to him/He will turn it over/He will come down to earth/Put in Alex Smith/etc etc". The longer he plays, the less excuses people will have to not fall in love with him as a QB of the franchise.

Don't worry. Kap could throw 6 picks and fumble twice.

wow. Has anyone else seen Alex address the media after the official announcement of Kaepernick starting? I don't remember seeing him so upset. I felt really bad for him.

with the more and more games CK plays, the more and more his pros and cons will be exposed. kaepernick isn't a 10/10 QB. Nobody is....except Joe Montana of course My point is Kap is going to have some flaws, it's a fact....just like how Brees, Young, Favre and every QB, good or bad, has flaws. The more games this guy plays, the more and more tape there will be of him. And week by week, coaches around the league will be seeing more Kaepernick...more strengths and more weaknesses. Then they're going to try to game plan to force him into those weaknesses. It's like how Alex Smith certainly had his weaknesses and NYG devised a game plan to force him into those weaknesses. After sunday, and each game that passes by, it's all the more reason for people to say "there are teams with top defenses out there, especially teams we'll see in the future and possibly the playoffs that are finding out this guys strengths and weaknesses....and each game that goes by, we're finding out more and more about this guy...what he does in this situation, what he does in that situation, how to force him into this, how to limit that, etc"

And Alex is gone for the season. You can't put him back in now at all
