New Orleans Saints team charter reportedly egged in Atlanta

If you're questioning the intensity of the rivalry between the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints, check out this tweet from Saints backup quarterback Chase Daniel, just minutes after the team's charter flight touched down in Atlanta tonight.

@ChaseDaniel: Wow, as we're boarding buses on the Tarmac @ Atlanta airport, we start getting eggs thrown @ us by airport workers! Guess they do hate us!

Saints teammates Jermon Bushrod and Jimmy Graham re-tweeted Daniel's message, which was tweeted at 7:48 p.m. Wednesday.

Graham confirmed Daniel's tweet a few minutes later:

@JimmyGraham: Bus just got egged after landing in ATL by the ramp workers. Classy! "RISE Up" smh

Not all of the Saints were put off by the incident. Wide receiver Joseph Morgan tweeted:

@jmthegreat How do eggs make people mad? Cool and hilarious prank #childhood #memories

Nevertheless, Thursday night's Saints-Falcons game should be intense, considering the recent history of the NFC South rivals and the stakes at hand. This incident should only stoke the competitive fires even more.

This is the rare occasion where Georgia and GA Tech are both playing in their respective conference championship games on the same day (in different cities), preceded by a Falcons' home game against the team nobody likes.

Yeah, that have to be playing meaningful games. Last time I remember Arizona St really being on the map was when Jake Plummer was their starting QB in the Rose Bowl, I believe it was.
