out of position forced to take his shots out of his comfort zone, bugged by offcourt trouble, with coaches putting the focus inside in Bynum.

curious isnt it? team stopped winning when they turned they focused on bynum tht had been a role player in the previous seasons.

Mark my words, If Knicks get Gasol ( straight up, or with shump , but NOTHING more) Knicks will get a ring.

The whole team was pretty terrible the last 2 years in the playoffs.

    But at least he played.

Amare was doing 360 windmills and punching fire extinguishers.
The value of elite scoring ability, by Phil Jackson:

"This is a guy, we recognize his talent, and his skill is the kind of skill and talent that gets you through playoff games where things get sticky, grind-out, and basketball becomes a force game and suddenly you need to have a player who has the capabilities of scoring with someone hanging on them in a situation thatís critical. Heís one of those players, one of the few players who can do that.Ē

    Not with the Odom debacle.

Lol.... Anyone willing to trade Amare AND Shumpert for Gasol.... just hush.... there is no value to input like that...

Trading Amare would only make sense now if the GM sees an opportunity to shed salary and upgrade the roster. Going backwards is not an option. I for one have no issue with keeping our roster as is and watching how things play out... but trading Amare would only seem ideal if its the RIGHT DEAL.

    for example..

Amare, Camby and Novak for Millsap, Marvin Williams and Alec Burks... thats a pretty even trade, and upgrades our roster... probably no interest there though. Just saying... a trade like this is the only style of trade i would feel comfortable with... remember.. on a BAD, AWFUL, TERRIBLE year Amare put up 17 and 8 so.... I am confident that he is capable of returning to old form... Rumors are really useless to us this season....our roster is pretty much set in stone

Are you out of your damn mind? WHO IS the starting point guard prigioni??? Knicks can't trade Felton. You must of missed last year when we had toney douglas starting and Melo trying to play point foward.

Knicks fans are hillarious. Felton has one bad game and now he stinks.

I don't see why LA would want Amare. He'd run into the same spacing issues with Dwight as he did with Tyson. Makes no sense.

Having said that, Pau would be a much better player for us than Amare. Last year, Amare lost his mid-range shot that was dropping so much pre-Melo, which forced him to play closer to the rim, and thus the spacing issues with Tyson. Pau still have a great mid- to long-range jumper from the corner. He'd be great for us. The things he is not so great at (aka being soft, not getting boards) we have enough of with the pieces around him.

I'd do amare + kidd for him. LA could use Kidd, and we'll have a glut of oversized point guards anyway when Shump comes back.

I actually didnt put much thought into it though.
    I was thinking:
    1.We want Gasol
    2.Get rid of Amare
    3.We want MWP too!!!
    4.Draft Pick. Needed.
    5.Get rid of Amare
    6.Felton isn't even that good
    7.Get rid of Amare
    8.Cap space????
    9.Get rid of Amare.

You're right, we should never trade Shump under any circumstances. The **** was I thinking getting rid of a future HOF player?
