Next man up though. Hopefully means more three WR sets with Mannigham and Moss outside with Crabtree in the slot. I think that could be deadly.

I was just hoping he would redeem himself fully in the playoffs, for his own sake.

In his favor, I've actually been happy with how he's played this year. Smart when fielding kicks and getting involved nicely in limited offensive time.

X2. I hope he can fully recover from this injury for training camp because I'd like him to take over for Ginn next year as the punt returner...and let James do kicks.

Yea, I agree. He made some very nice plays on the times he has been targeted. It's a decent loss for the team.

I'd bet on Kendall being out a few weeks. More important to get him 100% for the playoffs. We have enough depth at RB to get by until then.

Yes, but he's been doing that his entire (and short) career. He's always been a playmaker. He was a very solid and explosive player for us last season, a surprising contributor in the 2nd half of the year. For some reason, everyone characterizes his career by his uncharacteristic bad game in what happened to be the biggest game. He was a solid player the whole 2011 season when he was in before the NFCC fumbles, and has continued to be a productive player this year when given opportunities, or like you said, limited offensive time. My favorite play of Williams was the crack block he laid out on the Saints defensive end which allowed Joe Staley to pull and lead the way on the Alex Smith bootleg touchdown in the playoffs.
