    Question Jason Babin released by Eagles, should we be looking at him?

    Babin was released by the Eagles today, should we be looking into adding him into our DE rotation along with Aldon and Justin? What do you guys think?

    Even if he did get through waivers, we don't need him. That's an extra million we'd have to pay him too. Don't need him, don't want him. I wouldn't be complaining if we got him though. I would just think nothing of it. There's no point lol I'd rather save the extra million but who cares....depth is always good i guess

    Looking at what just happened with K. Hunter and K. Williams, depth is the name of the game.

    Last time I saw numbers the Niners were only $350K or so under the cap. I doubt they could if they wanted to...which I don't think they do. He's a pure 4-3 DE which means he would only be on the field in nickel situations meaning Smith or Brooks would have to come off the field.

    All i need to see to say no. Besides hes only ever run outta a 9 wide scheme this is time of year to see if he can fit the system

    9ers don't have the cap space to get him even if they wanted to, which I doubt they do.

    He'd have to clear waivers and sign for the vet minimum if he did sign with us, and we'd have to cut someone like clark haggans to make it happen. I wouldnt mind another pass rusher though, especially if our offense can put up points with kap and knowing who we'll most certainly have to play in the playoffs.

    Hes a 4-3 DE...which means hes a faster smaller DE compared to J smith and Mcdonald or RJF. Where would you put him? I dont think hes a better option than amhad brooks even on strickly passing downs. NO thankss!
