They're signing as many scrap players as they can and hope one of them becomes another R.A Dickey.

Cash Considerations huh? well folks there is the "little bit more flexibility" Sandy alluded to, will it be money well spent? stay Tuned...

Did we get Hicks for cash or Hicks and cash.
I wonder if Brandon Hicks has ever had this much attention.

Just disgusting.
You're disgusted and I'm disgusted........
What a way for a New York baseball team to be run. We're like the maggots of the baseball world - we eat what's left over.
Now, if the Whimpons decide to trade David Wright I will retire from following the Mets - 2013 will make it exactly 50 years of being a dieharder. I think I've been loyal enough.
How much more could ownership insult the paying fan.
On the positive side, and I'm groping, at least we don't have Jeffrey Loria as owner.
Mets Dieharder Since '63
Broncos Dieharder Since '73
Los Angeles Kings Dieharder Since '87 - Stanley Cup Champions 2011-2012.....
Denver Rockets/Nuggets Dieharder Since '73
ua you're gone, but never forgotten, R.I.P.
They traded for the wrong Hicks.
I thought we had NO cash!!!!
We got this!!!
LOL. Another fill-in.

It's not one guy, there are too many of these type of players this offseason and no even mid level FA.
It's more symbolic of a team that doesn't have many plans this offseason to do anything of significance besides re-signing Wright and Dickey (we're not even sure of that yet either)
