Cool Gruden to light the flame this Sunday at the Coliseum.

    Kate Longworth ‏@KLongworthCSN
A source close to the #Raiders tells me #JonGruden will be on-hand Sunday at Coliseum to light #AlDavis Memorial Flame prior to #Saints Gm

Gruden may have won a SB elsewhere, but he was never revered in Tampa like he was, and in many respects still is, in Oakland. Whatever his differences with Al Davis, Gruden respected the man and he loved being a Raiders coach. You never forget your first major head coaching opportunity and he has Al Davis to thank for that. It's only fitting that he ignite the flame.

Its a Big Honor to Light the Memorial Flame for Al Davis at the Coliseum. Yes Much bigger True Legendary Raiders then Jon Gruden to Do It.

Maybe Mark Davis has been talking to Jon Gruden about a Return to Oakland ?

He isn't revered in Tampa because the fans recognize him for what he is...a mediocre, power hungry, egotistical dick who wouldn't hesitate to throw anyone under the bus. He took a SB team and drove it into the ground and they still haven't recovered. Why do you think he hasn't been inundated with offers?

    **** Gruden

I hope he goes to SD

I know 99% of other Raider fans still suck him off. He contributed to one of the worst days in my football memories. So he can eat **** and die for all I care. Gruden is not a Raider. I can think of plenty of guys I'd rather have light that flame.

I would laugh so hard if when he lights the flame the flame lights him up, too.

Al could be there in spirit..so I won't rule it out.
