Nets' sounds bytes and atmosphere during games

Brooklyn seems hungry for the Nets and seem to WANT to get behind us but idk what the Nets sound guys are thinking. from the fake Brooklyn chants pumped through the sound system to the horrible music bytes after we score and other silly things.

What are your suggestions for sounds that would hype the crowd during games?

    Here are some of mine:

After a brook Lopez score: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fvJOSLaAqE
(first 15 or so seconds is what i had in mind and only the voice parts)

    After a Hump dunk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nrCvjg6nsI
(maybe edit to make it a shorter byte)

    After a MarShon score: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmR5IZt-hTo
(first 2 seconds only and maybe edit in the "cooking" part.. obvious reference to the famous "Swag cooking" from NetsDaily)

After a Joe Johnson or Deron bucket: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhxHyqCiIcw (particularly the "Buyaka" and "whatcha gonna do when we come for you" and "thats my pueblo" which translates to "that's my burough/town" which could really spark the Brooklyn crowds)

After the someone from the bench scores: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQh80G5TAek or even this one which i really like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qh3LKsWFv5k or this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=He82NBjJqf8 (first 3 seconds only)

Just some ideas. I know my ideas have a lot of WWE which some of you probably cannot really get behind but there is no denying WWE has an immense following so it would be some nice plugs to get the crowd going and the sound bytes i chose are generic enough that even people not familiar with wrestling could get hyped off of them.

The reason i made this thread is because i sense that the crowds are less into the "Brooklyn" chant each game and it's because it's being overused. The chant should be used to open games and to close them but too much of it can ruin the taste. It seems to be our only go to move and i feel we need better hype material.

Say what you want about MSG and the Knicks but they know how to hype their fans.

    What do you guys think?

EDIT: I would really like this as a fan post on NetsDaily if anyone here has an account there can copy and paste this as one for me i would appreciate it greatly. They managed to find a way to ban me there so i can't do it but i would love to get their opinions.

I was there and the atmosphere was nuts in the 2nd half. Our fans def took over and I think a HUGE reason we won really. I would say the crowd was 60-40 NETS fans maybe even 55-45. They played a jayz song thru an entire possesion Ive NEVER witnessed that in an nba game lok

Yea but to me the Jay-Z stuff gets old. Not everyone in Brooklyn listens to his music and catering only to one demographic kinda defeats the purpose of Brooklyn and everything they are trying to push.

They need to come up with more creative ways to hype up the crowds during games. I have been to games as well and i agree that tv does not do it justice.

However if they really want that OKC type atmosphere they need a lot better than a pumped through the sound system "Brooklyn" chant that seems to be getting old (at least to me) and overused (i like it at the end of games when the win is secured), and some Jay-Z beats who imo is a pretty overrated rapper and not as beloved in Brooklyn as many pretend he is (Brooklyn loves him but idk that they worship him the way Nets FO seems to think).

Oh my goodness I have not heard an atmosphere like tonight's in a LONGGGGGG time.

Those Brook-lyn chants were LOUDDD in the final minuets and the DE-FENSE chants were the loudest I've ever heard a Nets come crowd chant.

Also, I LOVEEED the OVER-RATED chant when Tyson went to the line and when the Knicks fans chanted MVP for Melo at the line, we booed and we were just too loud for Knicks fans. Also LOVED how we came back and chanted LOUDLY MVP for DWILL at the end.

I thought it was a brilliant response to the Knicks fans' chant of MVP for Mela.

Sigh, I remember watching the WWF back in the 90s, it was my life. Watching Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Lex Luger, Undertaker, Diesel, Razor Ramone, Stone Cold, The Rock, etc every single week putting on a show, there was nothing like it.

Quite honestly, EVERY match-up back then was interesting. You might have one or two matches that were meh but almost every single moment was exciting. Nowdays, you're lucky if you get a good main event. Really, like today's main events might struggle to get any significant time on Monday Night Raw.

I really do not watch it religiously like i used to. The whole Cena thing turned me off WWE but i still check in from time to time and enjoy guys like Danyel Bryan and CM Punk; throwbacks to the old wrestlers.

WWE has a cult following though so i feel clever sound bytes from WWE could really hype of the crowds.

I think you're looking too much into this. Most of the people at games loveeeeee the music thats being played. Also how is Broooook lynnn getting old? this is whats giving us a homecourt advantage and the players love it. Sorry if its boring to you, but the players opinion is more important than yours. People love repping their borough thats why the Brooklyn chants are there

It is not boring to me and i like the chant. Just feel it should be reserved not pumped through the sound system every five minutes.

End of quarter Brooklyn chants sure but i just felt we needed some clever sound bytes and wanted to have some fun thinking some up

HILARIOUS but i doubt theyd play some of those. lol
i like what they got 4 JJ. except they should finish it... "allow me to reintroduce myself" .... n should finish it "my name is joe!" like in the song.
n when dwill scores. i wish theyd just yell out his whole name getting the crowd pumped. like DERONNNNN WILLLIAMSSSSS!. sometimes hed just say "dwill" so plain. when wallace scores or makes a block you should hear a "crash".... good thread ive thought of it a couple times. i feel it can be so much better in getting the crowd in the game. djs music choice isnt bad tho. its how he applys it that gets me ehhh. could be alot better imo
