which is why I decide to put it in a thread of its own.

from our team I think the following of our 31 names and a couple extras that SHOULD be casualties are:
    DHB-listed as cap casualty @ 7.7 million
TE Meyers. Im wondering how much he thinks hes worth
    OT Barnes can go
    OT zach hurd
    OG cooper carlisle
    OG alex parsons
DL tommy kelly (cap casualty @ 6.5 million)
    LB Roland Mccalin(cap casualty @ 4.05 million)
    DB-phillip adams
    DB coye francis
    BD matt Giordano
DB mike huff (cap casualty 8 ,million)
    DB pat lee
    DB Mike Mitchell
    DB Brandian Ross
    DB shawntee spencer
    p shane lechler

    players we need to sign:

    leinart
    goodson
    hagan
    Bryant
    carter
    shaunessy
    condo
    wheeler
    Bartell
    Hanson

players NOT eligible due to contracts
    seymour
    branch
we are stuck with both of them guys per Rotoworlds contract page.

    players we should cut:
    Breisel-5 year 20 million..no Guarenteed money lsited
On a side note I dont "see" all the contract money that was implied in the other "cap space " thread.
They list 60 contracts and 31 are FA this offseason.
another 12 or so are nearing the end of their deals and have paid most of the guarenteed money.
Even cutting Mcfadden or Palmer wouldnt cost us that much, but I am advocating for neither to be let go.

so before the draft we have a roster of:
    Ausberry:555,000
    Bartell: FA
    Bergstrom: 480,000
    Bilukidi-480,000
Branch -It looks like 10MILLION...wtf was he thinking jesus!
    Bryant- FA
    Buriss-480,000
    Klayton-575,000
    Condo-1.2 mil
    crawford-480,000
    criner-480,000
    ford-575,000
    Goethel-575,000
    goodson-FA
    Gordon-555,000
    Hagan-FA
    Hanson-FA
    Houston-575,000
    Jano-3.8 million
    T.Jones-555,000
    marquette King-480,000
    Leinart-FA
    Mcfadden-5.8 million
    Moore-555,000
    myers-FA(?)
    Palmer-13 million
    pryor-595,000
    reece-1.42 million
    Seymour-7.5 million
    shaunessy-FA
    willie smith-555,000
    streeter-480,000
    Tolefson-900,000
    Veldheer-575,000
    wheeler-FA
    Wis -750,000

Thats 52 million and 27 players under contract
with 9 FA on our team that (I feel) need to be signed
thats 36 out of 53 slots which means we need 17 players 9 of whom would be starters under my plan...
that also IMO means we need two -three starters out of the 2013 draft so we can all our 9 home grown FAs and 6 high dollar other team FAs.
    My six positions are:
    Center
    MLB
    CB
    OG
    WR
    TE
    so my Draft is:
    DE
    DT
    Ol
    CB
    s
    lb

Once I got started, I didnt want to do a halfass job(lol)
Ill pick my actual names for FA and Draft in a day or so.

If Reggie McKinzie resigns anyone on this pathetic team...he's the one that has to go.

I don't want anyone of these chumps back, even if that means losing for another 3 years, I don't want to see the same losers on this team anymore!

Seymour, Kelly, Branch, Brisiel, Carlisle, DHB, Barnes, Mitchell, Giordano, Gothel, and both Corners.

Players that should be given another year: DMC, Rolando, Myers, Huff, and Palmer.

First team I looked at: Green Bay Packers...

Something tells me we're going to get another influx of 'Reggie's Guys' next year.

One thing for sure, the multi million dollar defenses in Philly and Buffalo will be dismantled this offseason.

They both may have a player or 2 that might be interesting.

Of the guys listed, I would bring back Palmer, Goodson, Myers, Shaunnessy, Wheeler, and Huff...I would also bring back Lechler if he is willing to take a large pay cut.

IMO keep Wheeler, Myers, and Goodson. Thats it and only if they comeback at a reasonable price. None of them are stars and should not get paid like it. This organization still has a long way to go. This off season will be the first step forward after taking several steps backwards this last one. Painful but necessary.

Marquis King is the punter next year.

It's been a good ride, but the Raiders will need the cap space.

Still giving McFadden a pass, eh Steph? Still haven't been burned enough times?

    His career here is done.

Jason Babin just released, saw that coming a mile away.More to come. And yes this is the first time I have ever quoted myself. That's kinda weird isn't it? I won't do that anymore.

how many times do I have to be right before you accept it?
6 million is not a lot for a starting running back.the idea that we can plug and play a new one year after year just because Shanny did it in a 5 or 6 year window isnt supported by factual history.
Ask GB how that rushing game has been going.
ask the Cowboys, or the Pats.
You need skilled, proven backs. No one is going to offer anything of value for a back in the last year of a big contravt and cutting him for nothing isntr going to happen.
He is a Raider until his contract ends. bank on it...

I am going to say test the market with him, if we don't get something good, real good don't sell. If we do get a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or a combination of picks we move Reese to starter and or sign someone else.
