That Boston deal was terrible. You basically just paid $250 million for AGon. You would have been better off with Reyes, Jonhson, Buehrle, and Bonifocio. All that for less than the Boston deal, which IMO is also a lot better than the Boston deal.

As far as the Stanton topic, I would definitely go for it if I were the Dodgers. Giving up Gordon and 3 prospects would be worth it for the young beast superstar like Stanton.

By the way... Does anyone still call him Mike Stanton? I can't get that habit out of me. Wonder if I'm the only one

Puig probably makes more than Stanton. Hell there may be people who post on this board who makes more than Stanton. He's signed for like $400k a year for the next 3 or 4 years. If the Dodgers had any chance at getting him it would start with Puig and Lee and work from there. Unless Loria would take a suitcase full of thousands for him?

I would trade Puig for Stanton in a heartbeat... Puig i believe is going to be a really good player, Stanton is only 2 years older then Puig and already a major hitter in baseball... I would send Puig, Gordon, Lee and another prospect for him, then Trade Ether for a decent pitcher... An OF of Kemp, Stanton, and Crawford who I think is going to have a good season for us would be crazy...

    Doubt it will happen though

He's Arbitration eligible in 2014 and they hold his rights till 2017. So they have him dirt cheap for 2 more years then they go to arbitration where they will have to pay him a crapload but still hold his rights.

Puig still costs a lot of money so it's not like he's a cheap rookie.

This is where the conversation would end as well.

you take things too literally...its not gonna happen. but thanks for pointing out the obvious.

No it wouldn't. They can't afford Kershaw the soon to be $120M + pitcher.

They want young cheap and highly touted prospects only.

Stanton is a guy you give up your best prospects for.

Zack Lee would be included in any trade.

I don't see it happening in any way but I would give the farm for that guy
