[QUOTE=Yank-Knick-Up;24535310]Big difference ! Johnny Damon and Nick Swisher had close enough numbers. And Damon was a clutch hitter for us.
Swisher had one good year where he hit 35hr besides that year he was an average hitter with above average power who got on base.
Damon was a slap hitter who every once in a blue moon would creep over 20hr.
Melky... Should we even talk about what Melky was besides a huge disappointment?
There is no way this team will have the big crazy superstar laden outfield you expect because they are the Yankees and it is the "Yankee way" If you really expect that then you are in for a rude awakening come next off season. Granderson will not be in pinstripes come opening day 2014. Amazing year, crap year, traded before spring training.
There is nothing you can say that will win this debate for you.
Michael Morse - Big power, big arm, 1 year deal.
Brett Gardner - Gold glove center fielder who steals 40-50+ bases.
Ichiro (if resigned) - Going to be the same Ichiro we saw here in the Bronx.
As I said - I'd go to war with that. Granderson is nothing but a 7 hitter to us if he doesn't hit the ball, he swings so hard he falls over.
I'm done in talking hypothetical's based on the past. Granderson will not get traded to the Nats. He could get traded to Texas for Mike Olt once Hamilton Bolts. Promise you that.

Giovanni Soto wasn't offered a contract by the rangers he could be a cheap option for the yanks
das boot i dont see the rangers doing an Olt for Granderson trade
I read Ichiro and his agent havent heard from the Yankees in a week. Ichiro's agent is no longer waiting on the Yanks for an offer. Makes me wonder if a trade is brewing?

RotoworldTony Attanasio, the agent for Ichiro Suzuki, told the New York Post that he "doesn't care what the Yankees do" and that they're "talking to several clubs".
This could just be a bargaining ploy, as a week ago they declared publicly that Ichiro's preference was to remain with the Yankees. It still seems like a one-year marriage between the two sides is the most likely scenario.
I don't see an Upton deal. But can I just play wet dream for a moment so I can like say it somewhere instead of in my brain? The chances of it happening are close to 0 but UGH. 4 team deal. People are going to hate on this post anyway.
Rangers: Granderson
Marlins: Olt, Williams, Sanchez, Warren
Dbacks: Nova, Austin, Heathcott, Nunez, Almonte
Yankees: Upton, Stanton, Nolasco ($11.5m-1yr salary dump)
Wet dream never gonna happen but god I wanna talk about it line up:
Jeter SS
Upton LF
Cano 2B
Stanton RF
Tex 1B
Arod 3B
Ibanez/Reynolds DH
Pierzenski C
Gardner CF
* Gardner

Lol. Yea, let the Yankees get two, young, great right-handed hitters, and the rest of the teams get crap.
