Whats the deal with Ichiro? I don't follow the MLB offseason too much during basketball season

He wants too re-sign with the yankees. He is waiting too see what they decide before he tries with another team.

They haven't made him an offer yet. No idea if they actually want to re-sign him or not. Don't know what direction they are going to go with right field as of right now. Still early in the off season though.

Bryan Hoch (@BryanHoch) tweeted at 8:08 AM on Fri, Nov 30, 2012:

Cashman says that right field is more of a priority than catching. Yankees starting catcher may be on this team already, he says.

interesting, i can't see a platoon of Cervelli and Romine is a winning formula. I;m not even sure Romine is ready because of his issues with his back.

Cashman most have something up his sleeve he's working on, either way the mention of RF being the bigger priority doesn't sound real promising for Ichiro returning unless they trade one of Grandy or Gardner

I'm completely fine with letting Martin go and going cheap at catcher if it means they put more money into RF.

I hope not.. JP isn't even that good... Soto would be just as cheap and pretty much the same crap.

Though if we did a Joba deal AND signed Soria I might be ok with it..

I just read the Yankees never even made an offer to Martin.. SWEET!

Also Nats are shopping Morse which is interesting..
