    Soriano - 15M
    Swisher - 13M
    Martin - 8M

Would Hamilton pass up a $36M 1 year deal?

this could be a blessing in disguise remember how Cano got started. Womack was the starting 2nd baseman when Cano who people thought wasn't ready came up and started killing the ball. Not saying this could happen but i would give Sanchez a shot at being the everyday catcher the kid has talent

Here's the thing: why can't a guy like Pettitte or Jeter, say 'look you've taken care of us for 20 YEARS', 'paid us plenty', 'we're set, and now would like to pay you all back for a couple of our last years'. why can't they say that and then play a year or two for peanuts?

its time those guys paid us back. how bout that?

someone said Womack above and it made me sick..

As for catcher.. Soto is our answer when he is released tomorrow.. though I would still like AJ's bat in the lineup, but at his age he will want a two year deal..

They have earned hundreds of millions of dollars over their careers. I think they are fine.

Hate to say it but all the guys that have come up through the system (Jeter, Pettitte, Mo) all seem to have gotten spoiled with expecting top dollar because its the Yankees. They've been used to it their entire careers and they haven't really been on a team not giving them the most money.

Are you speaking of the hundreds of millions the yankees made off the players they signed?

Or the hundreds of millions of dollars they made when they paid the players?

I'm going to go with option A.

Thats kinda what I'm saying. They've earned plenty and must feel like they've taken soo much money for playing a game, it has to weight on them? It's an insane amount of money they've taken (earned) and negotiate for more, sure.

But, inside, really, as a Yankee, knowing there's a cap and the team is up against it. Can someone find it inside to f-on- give back? is it impossible? is the players union really going to interfere? The fans have a strong voice!

Look - whatever- They could use the economy as an excuse to give back and its NYY. I ask for too much. I'm such a shmuck

Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that the White Sox are considering adding a starter, which would allow them the flexibility to trade Gavin Floyd.

White Sox need a 3B! we got one we will deal!

With Mo and Andy resigning the Yankees will trade for a good catcher IMO....I'd offer the farm for Joe Mauer...
