Key Match UP
Kyle Lowry v. Tony Parker
MHC TAKE:
The Toronto Raptors are coming off another close loss when they came up one point short in a loss to the Pistons. Friday's game marked the second straight game the Raptors have lost a game by only one point. Toronto struggled in their loss in so many different facets, there is no way I can cover them all in this "Take". With that said, there are a few key areas the Raps need to improve on if they have any hope of keeping this one close. One, get to the basket early and try and establish a presence in the paint. In their loss to the Pistons, Toronto only managed 26 point in the paint. That number has to improve going forward. Secondly Toronto must do a better job on the glass as they have a -12 rebounding margin in the last two games. Thirdly, Toronto must improve their shot selection and that goes back to the first point I highlighted; attacking the basket. Toronto only only shot 41% against the Pistons, a number that is far too low that won't cut it against a great team like the Spurs.
