I'm fine with the terms. It's around the 15 mil per range that seemed to be the consensus of what would probably happen. That's probably a little much but considering his talent level and that he's still in his prime, I'll take paying a little more to keep the high level of defense in center and to help balance out the lineup.

Damn we overpaid for a .298 OBP

I guess we knew it was a risk/reward scenario going in

I expect ATL to pursue a trade for LF/CF (with Upton playing the other) or to free up some salary (moving Hanson or EOF) before another signing.

I don't want Ross, but ATL has liked him in the past.

How about we give Upton a chance with a solid lineup before we go calling this a bad signing. He's still young, has power (which we seriously lack) and has good speed. Sure he strikes out a ton but I think he'll hit for better average once the coaches get ahold of him. VERY solid addition I think and we def needed his RH bat

This is a good or bad signing based now on what Michael Bourn gets. If Bourn gets a lot more than that, then Bravo Frank Wren.

boy got paid alright. It was expected..I seriously was thinking we would hit 80+ mil with him...75 still is a bit much with me but I felt it from the start. Now, time for Upton to prove if he was worth it...lets all see that "potential and the fact that he hasn't hit his prime (even though he's 27)" comes to fruition.

Welcome to the ATL. Lets get to work.

I thought he would definitely get over $80M since Philly and some mystery boogie-man team were involved.

There is nothing wrong with an 110 OPS+, 25 HR, 40 SB guy. That's pretty much what I'm expecting from him, but I wouldn't be shocked if he hit 30+ homers.
