Who should Detroit bring in? George Karl? SVG? JVG? Or somebody else?

Who do you think is the ideal fit?

I think SVG might be good. He did wonders around Dwight. He might be able to do the same with Drummond.

His brother Jeff could be a great pick as well.

George Karl has a great resume as well. As do some others.

Who do you want to see in Detroit?

Wait are you talking about this season or next? Gators posted a tweet that we're not doing a coach search this year

The question should be "Who the hell would want to come here while Dumars is in charge". The shelf life of coaches in his tenure will give any relevant coach cause for concern. Finish out the season with Loyer and then can Dumars. Start from scratch.

I think any coach that can actually coach would want to come here. A good coach will be confident in his ability to take over this team.

I'd honestly consider SVG. I think he did a good job in Orlando but really was put in a bad situation as Dwight started acting like a baby.

    No way JVG comes here.
I remember when we fired Frank he said it was embarrassing as a franchise or something

Outside of SVG, Karl, and Hollins, I can't see anybody else who would be a viable candidate for this job.

Hollins or JVG. I know he'd never come but I want him.

Not while Dumars is around. Dumars makes craptastic decisions, but it is the coach that gets canned when they don't pan out. I have to imagine that if a Karl, Sloan, Van Gundy were in the market, there would be much more appealing opportunities than the Pistons under an incompetent GM.

Make it a clean sweep and dump Joe D the day the season ends.

I say have Joe D come down out of the suite and coach up 'his' team. He put the band together, let's see if he can manage it.

    What about Stan Van Gundy?

Half way through the season? No thanks. Next season, Why not? Maybe Jeff can come in and GM with Stan as the coach.
