Yes, and #Braves are believed to have made an offer. RT @TimHigginbotham: @ajcbraves reed Johnson would sure help with that scenario
    Love to have Reed back.

IMO, Bourn is still in a position of strength because there aren't many appealing CFs left, and Boras almost never puts his clients at the mercy of a team. Right after the Braves signed Upton, Boras said that he's looking for more years than BJ got. If Bourn takes a discount, that will be his own decision/fault for doing so.

Bourn will not be overpaid now in philly...if anything he is cheaper now..but, I agree you never doubt Boras...he could easily be in pinstripes for 5/85...never doubt Boras
Fowler for Minor...maybe..prefer to give up Delegado. Fowler may be a Coors hitter, but he is young, freakishky athletic, and has only hit LH for 5 yrs of his life. He would be an ideal leadoff in ATL because of his speed and upside
Absolutely. What would you guys say if we did part ways with Minor for Fowler, then turned around and got Greinke? Believe me, I'm happy with that, and I think that's what just might happen.....

Never wanted Fowler. And how would ATL sign Greinke after adding salary in a Minor/Fowler swap? There is a payroll limit for this club.

There isn't. There isn't if we trade 3-4 guys away.

He is going to get 20M a season and right now we have around 10M for a LF plus a bench bat.

But couldnt that be why Bourns price may go up? If a team like Philly or even Texas needs an outfielder, theyd want Bourn who may be the best outfield option left in the next xouple of days outside of Hamilton.. Im not saying that's the case, but couldnt go either way?

See the thing is, what would you rather have happen, 1. We pick up Zack Greinke, who has shown interest in the ATL, or 2. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1...gton-nationals

This is what scares me. Not even Upton could lift us past that pitching staff.

If Bourn gets cheap enough we could sign him to play CF and put Upton in LF... not likely but imagine that OF defense.

Thats a wet dream, he would have to take a huge cut in money and years.
