Hart could probably field respectably in LF. His splits aren't bad, either. With only a year left, the Braves shouldn't have to pony up too much to get him, if the Brewers are inclined to deal.

I had been hearing that Hart has been available for a while. However with all these higher priced OF free agents and all the needs at OF around the league, teams with surplus OF's can ask a whole lot right now. Thats why no one has made a trade for a high quality OF yet, prices are too high, and until they cool off a bit, there won't be much activity.

If the 4 team Upton trade, expect us to move quicky so we aren't left picking up the pieces, despite what FW has said about standing pat.

    Marlins and Mets want Francisco.

The Braves' current depth chart features Martin Prado in left field and Juan Francisco at third base, but that could change if the Braves acquire an outfielder. If Atlanta were to add an outfielder and move Prado to third base, the club may trade Francisco, according to Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com (via Twitter). The Marlins and Rays are among the teams that would have interest in Francisco, says Knobler.

Francisco, 25, received a career-high 192 plate appearances in 2012 and hit .234/.278/.432. As a pre-arb player, his salary is likely part of the appeal for cost-conscious teams like the Marlins and Rays.

After locking up B.J. Upton, the Braves are reportedly not overly interested in other free agent outfielders. However, various reports have suggested the club is still perusing trade options.

I'd be fine with Hart depending on asking price of course.

If the return is good, deal Francisco. A back-up can be found.

For those who have it FW is about to go on MLB Network and talk Braves.

    Also this.

#Braves have interest in FA OF Nate Schierholtz, had .321 OBP/ .728 OPS for PHI/SF; has .305 career PH avg in 128 AB. LH hitter
For a bench bat, still would want Reed as do the Braves. Seems they want a LH and RH bench bat.

    EDIT:

FW on MLBN pretty much said we are looking for a LF guy who can lead off games.

Fowler looks to be the most realistic option. why would kc trade gordon? makes no sense if they are trying to win now.
